Does peer production hamper the monetary economy?

Yes, peer production creates value, and yes, a commons usually does create an economy around it, but the kind of
The Future of Law and Economics, Part 1
Mon, 28 Apr 2008 17:34:16 PDT
I’m very interested in the history, the present, and the future of the law and economics methodology and movement. Teles’ book on the Rise of the Conservative Legal Movement, each of which high

Parents Watching Kids?
Mon, 28 Apr 2008 17:31:27 PDT
If you talk to people you’ll hear all about how the world is going to hell because parents aren’t watching their children anymore. Irresponsible parents do everything from let their children play with the neighbors to allowing their children to watch commercials on TV. Don’t parents know commercials are full of sex and mass murderers inhabit next door. It’s such a load of crap. It’s revisio

The trouble with doom-and-gloom predictions
Sun, 27 Apr 2008 16:00:53 PDT
The trouble with doom-and-gloom predictions -- whether they be about oil shortages, food scarcity, water wars or population explosions --is that most are based on the linear extrapolation of short-term trends. If, say, rice prices rise, alarmists assume they will keep rising indefinitely at the same rate -- and then produce scary-looking ...
